GDPR Compliance

The topic of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has gained significant attention as the May 25th deadline for compliance is approaching. While GDPR is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union, GDPR extends to all foreign (outside of EU) companies processing data of EU residents.

Workhorse Marketing assigned a team to look into how this may affect any of our clients. Where applicable, we are helping our clients comply with necessary privacy policy updates related to cookies, references to new data security settings handled by Google Analytics, data retention settings in Google Analytics or other. All compliance updates are in process and will be completed by the May 25th deadline.

We would like to emphasize that compliance is only necessary if you are doing business with the EU or if you have any customers purchasing from the EU.

This information is intended as a resource and is not legal advice. Please be sure to discuss GDPR with your legal counsel to make sure you are taking the appropriate steps to comply with the new legislation.

If we have not contacted you directly and you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send an email to [email protected].
