Founder and CEO
For more than 15 years, Grant has provided marketing, branding and internet strategy services to businesses ranging from small start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. Over the past 11 years, he has specialized in the strategy and execution of hundreds of digital campaigns and projects including app design/development, website design/development, HTML email campaigns, social media, corporate branding and more.
As the CEO of Workhorse, Grant is responsible for continuing our vision as an agency focused on combining experienced marketing professionals, creativity and the latest technology to build strategies, tactics and concepts which drive results for our clients.
Outside of the office, Grant enjoys spending time with his family and playing as much tennis as possible.
Chief Operations Officer
Over the last 15 years, Theresa has specialized in various areas of advertising including traditional and digital strategy, media buying and planning, research, and agency account and project management. She understands the minute details of execution, from small website development to Fortune 500 full cycle marketing initiatives.
Here at Workhorse, Theresa is our Chief Rhythm Maker. She believes in natural processes that minimize clutter and draw out individual strengths and expertise. She is Google Adwords and Analytics certified, a Texas Advertising Group member, and proudly bleeds burnt orange as a University of Texas Alum.

When she isn’t working, she is spending time with her boys or behind a camera somewhere.
Chief Marketing Officer
Guy has over 25 years of advertising, design, online and mobile design, brand
development, strategy and start-up experience that he leverages to help clients
succeed. His diverse background as a brand development consultant, strategist,
designer and creative director gives him a unique perspective on relevant
messaging and design aesthetics and their role in creating successful brand
communications for clients that deliver tangible results. His client roster includes
local, regional, national and global brands in both the B2B and B2C markets.
Guy is currently leading the development and infusion of research, strategy and
positioning into all aspects of creative development for Workhorse clients and
helping them seamlessly fuse digital with traditional strategies.

Throughout his twenty plus year career as an entrepreneur and CEO of various successful IT related software companies, Joel
has built and led many businesses to a high level of success.
As a partner and advisor to Workhorse Marketing, Joel is an integral part of our leadership management structure helping to consistently guide our company to perform at a high level for our clients.
VP of Client Development
Allie joined Workhorse over 3 years ago. A born and raised true Austinite, Allie graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Ag Economics, minoring in Business Administration.
“I love that I get to interact with a wide variety of clients and team members everyday, all working together towards finding the most creative and innovative ways to approach marketing.”
Outside of work, Allie enjoys spending time with her family, being outside as much as possible, and enjoying all the fun musical events Austin has to offer.
Senior Vice President Business Strategy
As a brand creator, professional speaker and international digital persona, Amanda Russell
has been at the forefront of the digital marketing and social media revolution since its
infancy. Amanda helps companies re-imagine how they interact with their customers and
manage their businesses in the new digital world.
Amanda designed & co-created UCLA’s’ Influencer Marketing curriculum. She is currently
teaching this program, along with marketing, branding, and business strategy courses at
UCLA, to a global audience of students and future leaders.
Creator of Renaissance Women (RW), an exclusive community for today’s most passionate
and inspiring female leaders, executives, entrepreneurs and influencers, from all industries,
and of all ages, who are shaping the future.
Creator & Executive Producer of Fit Strong and Sexy, an online fitness and lifestyle
community, named one of YouTube’s ‘Next Top Fitness Channels’. Amanda has competed as
a world-class distance runner earning automatic qualifying for Olympic trials (before an
injury halted her career short of 2008 Beijing Olympics)
Amanda is also a Spokesperson and International Model. Featured in global campaigns
such as ZICO Coconut Water, Under Armor, Target and L’Oreal. She has appeared in Forbes,
The Huffington Post, YFE, (Young Female Entrepreneurs of America), Women’s Health
Magazine, SELF, SHAPE, Cosmopolitan, and The Chicago Tribune.
Amanda is a graduate of University of Richmond, as a full ride Scholarship athlete. Amanda also holds
an MBA with a concentration in marketing. She is recently co-authored a book on
Influencer Marketing with Freddy Nager, Professor of Marketing At USC’s Annenberg School
Chief Technology Officer
Thomas Bacon has been with Workhorse Marketing since 2007. He has a wealth of experience working in a number of digital technologies and fields. He has extensive experience with search engine optimization, accessibility, user experience, technical architecture, email marketing, information architecture, ecommerce, web development, and web design. He’s certified in user experience and Google Analytics.
He’s also has extensive experience with a number of platforms such as WordPress, Magento, and Drupal. He’s worked on small one-page sites all the way up to 8,000 SKU ecommerce platforms and has deep insights into finding the right solution for a digital problem.
Director of Development
Alex has been with Workhorse for almost 5 years. He went to the University of Texas at Austin, earning a BA in English. Alex has extensive experience as a freelance developer, working at Merrill Lynch before joining the Workhorse team.
“I like being able to help small companies grow.”
Outside of work, Alex stays busy playing rock and roll in his local band, The Early Stages.
Patrick joined the Workhorse team almost 3 years ago. He studied Communication Design at the University of North Texas. Prior to Workhorse, Patrick was a bass player in a skiffle band.
“I enjoy creating logical systems based on sound strategic rationale and a deep understanding of branding and human centered design.”
When he’s not running our design department, he enjoys printmaking.
Director of Social Media
Megan joined the Workhorse team three years ago. Graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Radio, Television and Video, Megan has a variety of experience in social advertising, marketing and blogging.
“I enjoy being in marketing and advertising as there’s always something new to learn!”
When she’s not directing the social department, Megan enjoys hanging out with friends and family, eating good food with a nice glass of wine, listening to podcasts or audio books/reading for the book club I’m in (#SLBC) and occasionally catching some live music, especially if the Derrick Davis Band is playing!
Kira has been with Workhorse for almost 3 years. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a degree in Public Relations and a Business minor.

Outside of work, Kira enjoys seeing live bands, traveling any chance she can and exploring the great city of ATX with her little pup Hoku in tow.
Teresa (aka Terry since we have another Theresa!) has been with Workhorse for almost a year and a half. She graduated from Oakland University, earning a BS in Management Information Systems. Her previous experience includes project, account and quality assurance management.
“I love collaborating with clients.Taking their projects and requests and bringing them to life. Whether that is a website, interactive experience, app, or traditional print.”
Being new to the area, Teresa’s favorite thing to do outside of work is explore the city of Austin.
A former Aha Digital Marketing employee, Workhorse was lucky enough to have Aly join our team when Aha and Workhorse merged in January 2016. Aly is a Texas A&M University graduate with a major in Marketing.
“It’s different everyday. Keeps you on your toes! You get the opportunity to work across all industries with all types of clients.”
When she’s not working, Aly enjoying being active and working out, from running to hiking to surfing. This is mainly to counteract her deep love for food.
Alyssa has been with Workhorse since December 2016. She attended Texas State University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Communication Design. Alyssa has worked as a Graphic Designer for six years and has also spent some time working as an Account Manager.
“Things in Marketing and Advertising are always evolving and changing. It keeps you on your toes, always learning and experiencing new products and ideas.”
As far as hobbies are concerned, Alyssa enjoys running, and hanging out with her dogs. Sometimes both at once.
Connor has been with Workhorse since November of 2016. He attended The College of Coastal Georgia, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Connor has obtained a wealth of knowledge while working in the Sales and Marketing departments at both PilePro Steel and Capital Factory.

When it comes to his free time, Connor spends a majority of it on the court playing tennis
Angela has been the Accountant for Workhorse since January 2016. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Psychology and a Business Administration minor. Prior to joining our team, Angela spent the last 9 years working for startups and helping them obtain double digit growth while exceeding customer expectations.
“I love being surrounded by such creative minds and the excitement that comes with working in a fast-paced, dynamic industry!”
Her favorite things to do outside of work are playing with her two children and two fur babies, and cheering obnoxiously for her beloved Aggies.
